Our ‘Community Speaks’ program focuses on community partnerships, socialization, and going into the community with a purpose. We offer a variety of community activities (i.e. - sports, community transportation, volunteering, and social skill activities to enhance their communication and social-emotional regulation skills).
Our ‘Art YOU’ program is all about creative development with art, culinary and music. This program is structured around the meaningful and creative engagement to build skills, relationships, and help individual expression. Our studio is an offsite photography studio that offers an inclusive environment for our participants to learn the art of photography. This environment offers accessible camera, tailored instruction, peer support, and a place to showcase their work. Participants are allowed to choose subjects of photography that interest them. This makes the learning process more engaging, meaningful, and fun. EDS also holds an “Art Show” twice a year for the participants to sell their art projects created within the ‘Art You’ program.

The pathways program is designed to help our individuals prepare for, connect, and obtain competitive employment with the support of our employment specialist.

Child Day Habilitation takes place in the community, separate from the participant’s private family home where the focus is providing support to promote independence and person
Child Day is a habilitative service, which provides teaching to develop, maintain or improve upon adaptive life skills to a participant who is 20 years or younger. Child Day Habilitation takes place in the community, separate from the participant’s private family home where the focus is providing support to promote independence and personal growth, while encouraging community integration. This service is typically provided during day services hours M-F 8a to 3p. Transportation is not provided.
We strive to ensure our continuous home/residential habilitation atmosphere shows diversity and compatible healthy relationships. Our group home setting does not exceed the amount of 2-3 individuals to one home. Each group home runs 24 hours and 7 days a week and staffed by rotating members and overseen with management supports.
Shared Living is a residence for no more than two individuals with developmental disabilities and owned or leased by the subcontractor providing supports. These services are individually tailored supports to improve skills related to living in the community in the most integrated setting appropriate to the individuals’ needs.
Independent living is provided in the participant’s private home. This service includes activities of daily living i.e., but not limited to: Personal hygiene, household chores, meal preparation, activities in the community, and social and leisure skills. This service includes activities of daily living i.e., but not limited to: Personal hygiene, household chores, meal preparation, activities in the community, and social and leisure skills. Independent living is an intermittent service provided to an individual who doesn’t require continuous supports 24 hours a day. Supported Family Living is provided in the individuals private family home.
Respite Care is a non-habilitative, intermittent service provided to an individual unable to care for themselves. This service includes activities of daily living i.e., but not limited to: Personal hygiene, household chores, meal preparation, activities in the community, and social and leisure skills.
Our programs are required to deliver quality services that carefully assess the needs and satisfaction of individuals we serve, evaluates designed services outcomes, and is the result of an ongoing process of teamwork and group participation.
Individuals we serve have the right to live and/or work in an environment that affirms their fundamental dignity and does not insult or demean them. The decision-making process will result in a free and informed decision by each individual regarding supports, needs, and wants. This will provide everyone with effective and flexible services.
